Nature - Focus on GM Foods
Although much of the content on this site is restricted to subscribers, there are four free articles on the state of GM food.

US Government-related sites:
United States Regulatory Agencies Unified Biotechnology Website (EPA/FDA/USDA)
A unified website for the USDA, EPA, and FDA which addresses the issues surrounding GM food. A very comprehensive and informative site. Covers regulations, roles of each of the federal agencies, contact information, etc. Also includes a searchable database of genetically engineered crops.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Includes laws and regulations pertaining to GM foods.

United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
This site includes the text of draft guidance on GM food labeling and a section on "information for consumers." Also includes regulation and guidance pertaining to food safety.

Government Sites in the UK:
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

Includes a general overview of GM foods, along with a nice summary of the issues of concern for the public in the UK.

Agriculture and Environmental Biotechnology Commission
An independent advisory body to the UK government on matters pertaining to the environment and agriculture.
